Antarctica Travel Centre is the specialist Antarctica arm of Tailor-Made Journeys Pty Ltd (formally South America Travel Centre – since 1995). We have hand-picked a small number of vessels and operators that we know well and trust to provide you with a holiday of a lifetime.

We are a member of IAATO (International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators), as well as a member of AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) and of ATAS (AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme) who set the benchmark of quality for the travel industry.

It’s our first-hand knowledge that allows us to help you organise what could be described as the ultimate holiday. We will also look after your pre and post cruise arrangements in South America.

An Antarctic Cruise and holiday tailored to your interests

An Antarctic expert will design your entire journey personally for you and how you want to experience Antarctica, Falkland islands and South Georgia; including whilst you are in South America before and after your cruise. In South America you will travel on your own, at your pace, accompanied by private guides and drivers with private, air conditioned vehicles.  We help you select the best Antarctica Cruise, ship, operator and time of the season to get the most enjoyment from your cruise.  We start by asking lots of questions – what is your preferred style of Antarctic cruise, what size of ship (as this can have a significant impact on your experience), what are your key interests (e.g. wildlife, photography, kayaking, history and cuisine) and do you have any particular personal interests you might like to include.

We are well versed in South America flight schedules, including air passes with LATAM Airlines (which offer excellent value) and we’ll ensure you don’t waste time at the airport, or make unnecessary early starts where they can be avoided, and most important of all not to miss your trip of a lifetime to Antarctica.

Once we have a good understanding of just what you’re looking for, we can begin to create an Antarctic holiday that is perfect for you. For us, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of working in a specialist travel company; designing unique journeys to suit individual tastes, budgets and desires.

Our Antarctic partners are the world’s leading operators best – many have been known to us since 2001.

Whilst in South America there is always someone on hand in-country to help you out when you are on your trip. If your flight is delayed our partners on the ground will be looking out for you and make sure your transfer will be waiting for you when you arrive, regardless of the time. Should something unexpected happen, our operators are available 24 hours a day to assist you. You can travel knowing you have someone looking out for you.

Before you depart we provide you with a bound booklet of detailed documentation to take with you. It includes everything you need to know; where you are going, what time your flights and transfers are, additional activities you may consider in your spare time, safety tips, emergency contact phone numbers, phrases in the native tongue of your destination that you may wish to try out, and some additional restaurants and sites you may like to visit.
