My journey to Antarctica began in 2014 on what is often considered a once-in-a-lifetime expedition. That first voyage sparked a deep and enduring connection with the polar regions—one that has since grown into approximately 25 expeditions across the Polar regions.
Antarctica, along with the remote islands of the Falklands and South Georgia, represents some of the last true wilderness remaining—a place of profound peace and pristine beauty, shaped by what is a rare occurrence of global co-operation, scientific discovery, and an unwavering commitment to preservation. It is a destination that feels sacred in its scale and silence.
I’ve been extraordinarily privileged to experience Antarctica in ways few ever do. Through my time working onboard expedition ships, I’ve explored the Antarctic Peninsula, crossed the Antarctic Circle, and undertaken the rare journey to Snow Hill Island to witness Emperor Penguins in their natural habitat. My polar experience also extends across the Southern Ocean, with multiple expeditions to the Falkland Islands and South Georgia—two of the most wildlife-rich regions on the planet.
My time in the polar regions has been spent aboard expedition vessels, including Ocean Nova, World Explorer, Ocean Explorer, and Ultramarine. Each journey has reinforced my respect for Antarctica as one of the last truly wild places on Earth and the importance of travelling there thoughtfully and responsibly.
